Research Grade and AAcomas

Hello,

I was wondering how research grade would be counted in terms of AACOMAS gpa system. If the research is under the Bio Sci department, would it be counted for as a science gpa? Also, if the course code and name repeats every quarter, would the system account them as one class (due to AACOMAS grade replacement policy)?

Thank you very much. 🙂

Enter it exactly as it appears on your transcript..

What do you mean by research grade? Like independent study? Special problems course?

It sounds like it would fall under sGPA. And your grades would be counted separately. You have to manually designate repeats.

At my University(UCI) , grade is given for biological research every quarter. I was wondering how AACOMAS view those grades

Oohh that sounds interesting. We have a pass/fail system for research. Kinda sucks

It would count towards your science GPA and if you took this class multiple times, then they would NOT be considered as a single class. You just have to list the class and the grade for every quarter you took it.
