Hey guys when listing your research grants and awards such as UROP, SURP, Howard Hughes, etc. do you list how much you received for the grants/fellowships. Like I received 2 $300 grants and $1300 surp stipend.

Also, I make this a separate thread, but how much should you talk about your ECs in the AMCAS EC boxes? Also in what type of style? Like formal or more personal? Thanks again guys.

1. You certainly can list the monetary value of each grant. That's what I did for my AMCAS. Also, it's common in academia for individuals to put that information on their CVs.

2. A brief description of the activity/award is all that's needed. ADCOMs review thousands of applications and don't have time to read paragraph after paragraph of exhaustive EC descriptions. Just include basic information and keep it formal. If the EC is very important then you can talk about it more in your personal statement.
