Hello,

I am wondering how many hours of research everyone applied with. I was supposed to start this semester and work over the summer, however due to the corona virus I am now unable to do this. I am unsure of how many hours I will realistically be able to accumulate in one year while also keeping up my grades and studying for my MCAT during my junior year. I am concerned this lack of research hours will put me at a disadvantage when I apply. I am an otherwise a strong candidate my gpa is a 3.87 and I have a good amount of volunteer hours that I plan on increasing this summer.

when it comes to research, its more about the quality than quantity. always try your best with whatever task you're given and be proactive in the lab (ask questions and show interest in the project). network and develop relationships with your PI and other lab members (you'll be thankful that u did when asking for a LOR)
