Hey everyone,
So I am taking a class where next semester we need to design our own research experiments and I am completely stuck and don't know what to do. I know this is wierd, but does anyone have any experience with this? I need to perform something that is in the field of chemstry. Any advice/tips would be awesome!
Thanks,
Gorrilla

this is too broad of a question. is this for organic, or inorganic? what level lab is this? how much time do you get, etc?

syntheses are always good and you can take it in many directions. ex. switch up metals or "side groups" for organometallic bonding and look at the effect through NMR, etc, etc

Don't stress now, i don't think it'll be anything complicated, afterall, it's fora course that's to be completed in a semester. I don't think doing any synthesis is possible, because that would mean you will need to stay in the lab for an extended period of time.
It'll most likely be more paper-focused, where you read up on a bunch and come up with theoretical experiments.
