I'm debating whether to take a research class, which requires a minimum of 10hours a week or an extra class so that I could focus on school work in my junior year. I already researched 2 semesters with this professor and I plan on getting my letter of recommendation from him. The problem is if I take his research class in my junior year, I can't load myself with classes because it's either focus on research and get a paper published (I'm not even close to getting a paper published) or show med schools that I am capable of their curriculum by taking 15hours minimum per semester. Do take in consideration that in addition, I will be volunteering for either situation.

Thanks.

I think you should really try to take both... You can do research without going under 15 hours per semester...
