So the summer is coming up, and I have a couple options and was wondering what you guys think is the best bet.

I can do research at a hospital full time for 10 weeks and get paid 4,000.

Or I can volunteer/observe dentists and specialists in my area and get a standard college "summer job" for some cash.

Are both viewed positively by dental admission officers or is it better to get some experience in a dental setting?

I tried calling around and asking if any offices would possibly need an assistant just to do the dirty work, but I haven't had any success and I don't think I will.

10wks 4k sounds great tbh, and then find some time to shadow/volunteer/intern at dental offices in your free time. Ive always taken the well paying job during my summers. Wouldnt have too much hope getting paid to dental assist either (or anything like it)

Thanks for the response. Does anybody else have any input? I have to make a decision soon and I'm not sure which route to go. Any advice will be appreciated!
