I'm currently an undergraduate majoring in Cognitive Science, and I want to get a PhD in Cognitive Psychology. I am currently working as a research assistant in the psych department at my school to get research experience. But my GPA is not very good, and by the time I graduate (in Fall 2009) I'm probably going to have a GPA of around 3.0-3.1.

So I was thinking that if I do a research oriented masters program first, it would increase my qualifications for when I apply to PhD programs. Does anyone know of any good research oriented masters programs I should look into?

The schools could be located anywhere in the United States, I'm willing to move.

If I remember correctly, Wake Forest has a program that you may want to check out. If you do a search on the Psy.D/Ph.D. and this forum, something should pop up about good stepping stone programs.

Yeah I think Wake Forest is a good one. Villanova also has a good program and I believe William and Mary as well. Though I think the William and Mary one is really difficult to get into.
