Hi, I'm trying to find some MS programs in the Chicago area (out of state ok) that would accept me with just a post-bac pre-medicine certificate. I will only have the minimum requirements for medical school admission (year of general biology +lab, year of physics + lab, year of inorganic & year of organic chemistry + lab).
I will also be taking the mcat (possibly the gre as backup but I'm not so sure I will do well on the verbal section).
I have no previous research experience, but I'm curious to get this exposure prior to med school.
Can someone please recommend schools that don't require me to have a degree in the Biological Sciences? My undergrad was Psychology, so my only sciences are my basic reqs.
I am interested in: Microbiology/Immunology, Pharmacology, or Cell Biology (any other suggestions?) I want to learn more about it!!!
Would anyone actually admit me with no background? 😕
Thank you in advance...
I should add I did a couple of searches (Rush University for example) and it appears they are looking for an undergrad in biological sciences. Do I stand a chance?
