I am going to do an individual research project about dentistry this coming semester and was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

Depends on the difficulty of the subject. There are tons of papers on dental research. Check pubmed.com. Type oral health in the search field. You could also ask the dental forum (this is the predental forum) since the people there are more knowledgeable of dentistry.

I'd be kind of interested in studying the immunologic effects (particularly cytokine/chemokine release) in jaw bone resorption. Does that sound exciting to you? If so, you may be a dork 😛
