Hey guys,

I'm working from the US trying to access mothers in Canada to complete an online survey. I have kind of hit a dead end. Do any of you know of a listserv, forum, etc. that you've used before? Also, does anyone know how to access the PCCF (basically, income by postal code) for Canada? There's a really easy way to do it for the states and I assume there must be something similar for Canada...but then again. Could be wrong.

Thanks!

Any kind of moms? Because I would imagine that whatever your research question is, it probably matters whether the mom is the mom of a 2-year old or a 25-year old.

Internet/listserv sampling has its own issues, particularly related to income and the sort of people who subscribe to those sorts of things. A sample of SDN board members, for example, wouldn't be representative of psych grad students in general since we're people with nothing better to go than gab online about psych (really, we're people for whom our educations constitute a part of our social identities).

If you want moms of school-aged kids, why not try to go through a school or PTA? Getting kids to do stuff can be a pain, but getting them to bring a survey home for mom (I think your response rate would be better with a paper survey than an online one) might be easier.
