I was wondering whether it is okay to pursue research interests outside of your major as an undergraduate. Right now, I'm currently a physics major but I've developed a good relationship with a professor in biology and intend to work with them all 4 years. Is this okay or will medical schools wonder why I'm majoring in physics but pursuing research in biology. The reason I'm major in physics by the way is because I enjoy the coursework a lot more and my GPA for physics is far better than for biology. Thanks in advance!

Yes. I was a physiology major and did physics research (optics + polymer chemistry) for 3 years.

You can do research in whatever you want, even if it's not your major. Go for it if the subject interests you
