Which schools are considered research oriented? I tried searching for thread about this but there are not that many or school specific. From what I have learned, these are a few:

Columbia
Harvard
Michigan
UCSF
Pitt
Penn
VCU
Maryland (?)

Are there any more???

Those are the schools off of the top of my head also. Most schools, with the exception of some of the newly opened ones, emphasize a combination of clinical training and research, such as NYU and Case.

not sure why you think vcu is one.

also, it doesnt really matter. chances are you can do research anywhere if you are persistent. who you do research for, what the research is on, where the research is done...nobody really cares at the end of the day.

Umn does quite a bit as well, 3m supports it...

When I searched the forum, VCU came up quite a bit. There was a lot of debate about it so I just threw it in there.

I already have research. I just wanted to know what schools like it.

Also, Thanks for all the input. I really appreciate it.
