Anyone feel like reading my research statement and providing feedback?
Also, the current length is around 6000 characters, well short of the 10,000 limit. Even if I think the essay's a good summary of my research, should I try to extend it just for the sake of filling up the space provided?

DO NOT add more just to use the space. I have been told by an ADCOM that they think the research statment length is too long and shorter is better, if you can. Also, if you haven't already, have you PI(s) read your statement, They would probably be able to give you better feedback than people on SDN because they know your area of research better.
