Hi, anyone know of any national research symposiums which one can submit abstracts to, and have a shot of a poster at for the rest of the 2009 year? I would love to be able to present at one of these conferences, so if you guys know of any...pray tell!

It depends on what research you're involved in. There's American Chemical Society Meeting in August, Cell Biology meeting in December, Cancer Bio Research Meeting in October, etc.

well, I do cell biology/neuroscience/pharmacology related research
so anything along that line

I'm not so sure for the others but what you can do is find out about their national associations through google. Usually they have yearly conferences/meetings; you can find out on their websites.

And these meetings are awesome! I've gone to many (mainly in chemistry), and they've been amazing.
