Hello -

Just curious what people have heard about the radiology residency research tracks - any thoughts/feedback? Are these popular programs? Do people end up with inferior clinical radiology skills and is their research typically on the same level as say a PhD researcher? Do they get funding? Does it force you to take a major major paycut to do academic rads with protected research time? Does anyone know of a list of the various research tracks available? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

To be honest, I know too little about this topic. I would much prefer to hear the perspectives of residents and upwards.
