My senior year I will have only 2 more classes to finish my major. Would it be better to take research credits (I have already been doing research for 2 years now) or should I get a minor in something?

What you major in is irrelevant. What you minor in (or if you even have a minor) is even more irrelevant. Go with the research and try to find a lab with a PI known for pumping out publications and writing stellar LOR's.

Research. Unless the minor you are looking into is significantly different than your major, then I could see that as a bonus. But I would still go with research.

My major is bio-med and the minor would be in sociology. I was leaning towards the research

Major: Ball-Room Dance, Minor: Medicinal Biochemistry

Research. No one has ever asked me my minor ever.
