Currently a 3rd year student at a school without a radiation oncology program. We're getting an intro to VSAS and 4th year pretty soon, but I'd still like to ask how to go about gaining research experiences in 4th year. Is research typically included as part of an away rotation or are research rotations and clinical rotations separate? If anyone has experience with this please let me know.

Research is typically not included on your clinical away rotations. If you have the time (and interest), you can certainly do two months (one clinical, one research) at an away program.
