Am a drama researcher and am trying to get in touch with GPs of African origin for some help with some story development - have been going through community organisations but not having much luck, could anybody suggest contacts? Does anyone know doctors who might willing to have a chat - London based GPs...

You might want to lookn into your local yellow pages. Sometimes you can identify African GP's by their native names, this requires guess work, but there is no harm calling a physician's office who you think is African.
