I asked almost all professors at my University about research and they did not have any spots open. So my friend gave me an idea to contact a hospital near my house. Then I contacted Chief academic officer who also oversees research. He told me to send him my research interests. I have never done any research, so what should I say???

Think back to the classes you took, did well in, and found interesting. I don't think they expect an undergrad research volunteer to have everything figured out. If you can find some common ground between your coursework and what the hospital is doing it would be good:

"I've taken several classes in molecular genetics and have found the subject matter to be highly stimulating..."

It might also help to supply maybe a list of the laboratory and statistical techniques you've been exposed to so far.

You should try to familiarize yourself with the work that people do at the hospital and pick something that you might be interested in learning about. Being interested "in research in general" doesn't portray you very favorably, especially to a seasoned researcher. So you've got to do some homework here. Go on hospital's website, find Research section, read about what people do and come up with an idea what might be your area of interest. It might be vague, but you should be able to say something like "I developed my interest in studying X during my Bio101/Genetics/Physiology class, and now I would like to learn more about X in the lab of professor Y".

Look up some of the research faculty on pubmed and read their articles.
