For a residency program that is affiliated with a college, is there any chance to participate in the life of the university? For example, attend seminars, interact with the other graduate students, take part in clubs, etc.? Or do the hours of residency generally restrict this? Where can I look to find general information about residency?

For a residency program that is affiliated with a college, is there any chance to participate in the life of the university? There may be but many residencies are not located at the same campus as the academic institution. If you have time you may be able to participate.
