Residency and DO students

To my knowledge, Vanderbilt does not. I encountered the same DO student a couple of times on the interview trail, and during the inevitable "where have you/are you interviewing?" conversations he told me that Vandy had very politely implied to him not to waste his time/money applying as they did not "typically" accept DOs after learning that I had interviewed there.
I can't speak for EM, but I know for sure we've had people match into their Anesthesiology program at Vandy from NSU, and Vanderbilt allows DO students to rotate there.
As far as I know, orlando regional medical center and Denver health are notorious for never taking DOs.

Denver has taken a DO before. They at least interview DO's too. I had an interview there this year, got rejections from Vandy and U of AZ.
So true, not one DO resident in their EM program. That's unfortunate. Its a good program...level 1 trauma and so forth.
Florida Hospital East has and EM program, brand new and they have a DO or two on their roster. Then again, East used to be called Orlando Osteopathic Hospital until the 80's.
Thanks for the replies everyone. Could anyone also comment on the EM/IM combined programs? I'm assuming that the reasons why there aren't many DO students in these programs is that overall there are less DO applicants in general to these programs and that these programs are also fairly competitive. Is this true?
There's 2 IM/EM programs for DO's in Cleveland: St. John West Shore and South Pointe.
