I'm a New York State resident for 10 years now (attending a NY school - SUNY Buffalo) and all of my ortho interviews were from schools not in NY (think warm states where it never snows). Three were state schools and there were lots of people at those interviews who were not residents of those states.

I also got invited to all of the GPR/AEGDs I applied to in California, but now at the end of all this applying and interviewing, I am attending a GPR program in.....

New York.
