Hello all,

I'm one of the M3's who received my step 1 score yesterday and I was wondering what it means in regards to surgical training in California. I know the national average is around 232 but I imagine CA being more competitive. Are we talking 235? 240? 245?

What about at particular programs? For example UC Davis, UCSF, East Bay, San Joaquin?

How about in SoCal?

For those curious my score is a 244 (there's no need to bash me for neuroticism; I know it's a good score!)

I'd be curious to know the general level of competitiveness at CA programs as well. FREIDA is not very helpful since it just gives a broad range but half of the programs don't even have that.
