First, the USMLE is NOT a requirement for residency in Canada,
Since you're an IMG (international medical graduate), I suggest visiting www.carms.ca to get more info on what is required to be eligible in the match. It is also much harder for IMG to get residency spots in Canada then for canadian grads.

Is residency in Canada recognized in the US?
Oh i see. Actually my first goal is getting a residency in the US, but I wont lose anything by trying getting one canada.
Thanks
If your first goal is USA, put all your energy to it. Forget Canada
...but when you are down your residency in the States, please come back to Canada.🙂
We need you.

says the guy who is in California? lol😛
I think neurosurgery is the only one that is not acceptable in the US.Most canadian residencies are accepted in the US. To be honest, Canada is extremely competative, especially for an IMG, and you'll probably have more luck in the USA.

And ENT if I'm not mistaken.
