hello,
i went to high school in new jersey and got accepted to the university of Michigan. since they have ridiculously high out of state tuition, i was hoping that i would count as an in state after a year or two.
when i called them up, their requirements does not really focus on your presence, studies, ownership of a house, or job.... but where your parents live. Since my parents are not citizens or residents... i can never be a in state even if i live 30 years in michigan. is this some cruel way of making money. does anybody have any idea how i can escape this catch 22.
thanks
