Residency Interviews Thanksgiving time?

Hello SDN. I have a quick question for all of you.

Are interviews done the week of Thanksgiving typically (the Monday-Wednesday before)?

I am looking to take a Thanksgiving vacation with my family, but don't want to give up any possible interview dates. I tried searching on Google, but nothing regarding the days before Thanksgiving.

My residency program does not interview the week of Thanksgiving.

I remember doing an interview that week. I believe it was Pitt.

Some do, some don't. Just take your family vacation, there will be plenty of other interview dates.

Usually not but there are some programs that may. Its never a really good idea to interview right before a major holiday anyways because
1. Some of the key players might be missing that week (taking vaca right before the major holiday) or will be in and out of the office and busy.
2. Everyone is thinking about their own plans and its hard to remember the interviewees.
3. Plan tickets are going to be expensive.
