I was wondering if there are any data tables out there that has information about the AOA match. I've done some searches and have seen a lot of PDFs/tables and found match data for ACGME (MD) matches/residencies but little about DO matches.
What I want to know is how many DO students applied for each category (Anesth, Derm, EM, IM, Peds, etc), how many positions were open in each category, and how many DO students matched.
I know that this PDF (http://b83c73bcf0e7ca356c80-e8560f4...ontent/uploads/2013/08/resultsanddata2013.pdf) has information about match data but this is only for MD residencies and not DO. (I could be wrong on this.)
For example, the MD match data shows that:
- In Table 1 for Anesth, there are 1073 positions open, 1029 of those were filled/matched with 1208 MD applicants and 748 matched MD applicants.
- In Table 2 for Anesth, it shows again, 1073 positions open, 1029 of those filled, and 748 MD applicants as well as 117 DO applicants who matched.
- In Table 4, there were 2677 applicants who were DO applicants, with 2019 matched and 658 unmatched.
My questions is is there a similar data sheet that has this kind of information for the DO match and DO applicants? I want to see in the DO match, how many applicants there were, how many positions were open, and how many of them matched similar to the PDF file above.
