how would you counsel a pharmacy student who has a non-pharmacy boyfriend that is opposed to the idea of pharmacy student applying to out of state residency programs? :scared:

ask them if the relationship is marriage worthy. If not and she/he is passing the time, apply out of state.

If it's marriage worthy, they need to talk to the boyfriend about pros and cons while explaining that residency is only one to two years...

Exaggerate and say residency is mandatory for a decent job or you're stuck working in an even WORSE place like Iraq.
