Hi all,
So I plan on applying to dental school in the next cycle and had a question. I know that many schools give preference to residents of their state. I was planning on moving from Pennsylvania to Texas this May (2018) and applying to TX dental schools the same month though TMDSAS. I was told by A&M that I would just have to update my residency status the following May (2019) to receive in-state tuition for starting classes August (2019).
My question is: would having my TMDSAS applications say I'm out-of-state at the time of application kill my chances outright? Is there any good way to make sure the admissions committees understand that I want to permanently live in TX and will be an actual resident by the time I would start classes?
