Resident dating

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
so first let me pose this question: how long after the med student stops working under you do y'all think you need to wait before first going out

42 hours and 6 minutes.

🙄

The mark of a cad, good sir! A gentleman waits exactly 42 hours, 7 minutes, and 28 seconds before propositioning a young lass over whom he had power previously. No more, no less.

out of this entire ridiculous thread (because of the OPs heard headedness) this picture really made my day and gave me a great laugh.
I'm sharing this with others.

I think this is my favorite (and also somewhat applicable to the OP).

very hot chick = mayb only 1 week... imo

Just ask yourself, "What would Herman Cain do?"

Man, I will say that you are determined. Once again, this is a bad idea! Pretty much everyone has told you this and you clearly seem like you plan to ignore all advice. Damn bro, at least wait for her grade to come out or even better for her to match if you won't wait for her to graduate. Hope its worth the risk.

i changed my mind on the poition. smack that **** in the call room, secretly videotape it, and post it online to show your manly conquests! Send a copy to your department head to prove what manly residents are in ur program.

best advice even given on SDN.

just curious about people's experiences
Only in differing specialties. A med student in my class was dating an attending in a specialty that she wasn't pursuing nor was it a rotation she had done (AFAIK) or was required to do.

One of my med school classmates was dating a resident in a specialty he hadn't rotated in or was going to rotate in.

I remember a thread a while back that had found a news article about a non-trad med student who asked out his pediatrics attending after the rotation ended. They ended up getting married.
