I have read the other threads on this but my question still remains. If delta g knot < 0 under standard conditions (1:1 Molar ratio products to reactants), then how can Keq be > 1 (implying products/reactants > 1) .
Am I missing the passage of time, ie if you put the products and reactants into a container at standard conditions, over time the reaction would favor the products in this instance and be spontaneous?
To absolutely clarify Once Keq becomes > 1 you can no longer be at standard conditions (even though the reaction began in standard conditions) because standard conditions implies an equal molar concentration while a Keq other than 1 does not?
