hello all,

Are there any online resources (series of videos or interactive type of course maybe?) one can recommend for an incoming CA-1? I know there will be a huge learning curve coming in, so I would like to get started on some material sooner than later. I typically prefer videos with my very limited time (gen surg prelim). I have textbooks (Morgan and Mikhail, Secrets anesthesia, and baby miller) but they can be a drag to read at this point; difficult to get through them without actually being fully immersed in anesthesia.

Thank you in advance!

I havent heard of any video courses unfortunately, but the new edition of Faust (5th) comes out in a few days. I would definitely get that. The short chapters are easy to get through and it covers all of the important material.

My advice is do many IVs. Go to the ED when not busy on call and do all the IVs. Do all you ABG sticks for everyone. Read a little, but otherwise just get through intern year. No matter what you do there will be a steep learning curve.
