Taking it this year ... I have a variety of different pdfs, powerpoints, and video lectures covering some (but not all) the topics for this exam.
On the registration site they provide a content outline of what all topics may/will be covered on this 200q exam.

Any recommendations?

Can be books, lectures available online, etc.
I have no preference.

I will be attending the online lecture course being held this summer, but apart from that my resources are fairly spaced out currently.

Thanks!

My information is a little dated, but when I recertified the Joseph Mathew book seemed to be the "standard" text. I read through a couple of times and was successful. The Albert Perrino book was the standard when I initially certified, but it does seem less thorough than the Mathew book. I plan to use it for MOC.

Its very easy. Just do fellowship

The question section of PTE masters was a little clunky to use when I was studying but the content was spot on for the exam. I am of the generation that “studies by practice tests/questions” FWIW…

I really don't think you will need anything with the MOCE if you've been doing it for 20 years. Isn't the whole point of MOC is for them to keep taking our money? Unlike the actual test, they already got your money. And in case ones fails, you have to pay again. That's not the case for MOCE, at least until it becomes mandatory.

I never used PTE masters but the exam itself was clunky when I took it 12 years ago. So maybe it’s by design.

People need to stop giving legitimacy to the NBE and let the organization die. Now that the ABA has a legitimate Cardiac Anesthesia Board Exam (since 2023), there is no need for graduating Cardiac Fellows to pay another $2,000 to take the NBE’s “Board” PTeExam

I looked exclusively at PTE masters. Very similar to the real thing and covers all the relevant content.

Way back when I did PTE masters, Mathews and Edelman.

Edelman was overkill and
unnecessary.

Cardiac boards will be no different.

NBE moved to MOCE this year.
It’s an easy and cheap way of keeping your NBE cert as active.
I want to say it’s $80/year.
