Can anyone suggest any resources for practicing the PAT?

I've done the Kaplan practice test's, Barron's, and the practice test given out by the ADA, ..... But I still have a lot of trouble with some of the sections and need way more practice, I've searched online and can't find any books or anything specific to teaching how to do the PAT sections.

What else have you all used to get yourself ready??

Thank You!

I scored high on the real PAT and all my practice tests, partly due to the fact that I'm artistically inclined and that I am degreed mechanical engineer. In addition, I'm a Kaplan DAT instructor and tutor. I have helped tutor two students in the past with the PAT, and helped them dramatically increase their PAT scores.

My suggestion for help would be to either pay for a Kaplan instructor that scored high on the PAT, and insist that Kaplan ensures that you are completely satisfied with the tutor they provide you. Not all Kaplan instructors/tutors will be good at the PAT section.

The other way that you can get tutor help would be post a flyer in the mechanical engineering department at your school asking for tutoring on mechanical drawings. If your flyer states that you're willing to pay like $50/hour, you will get a ton of calls. You'll need numerous calls since not all mech engineers will be any good at the PAT, but at least 50-70% will be good at it, compared to about 10-20% of Bio majors.

The problem with learning the PAT strickly from books is that if you're not visually inclined to begin with, or never had any training in 3D drawings, you may waste endless hours practicing and never getting your score higher. The tutor should be able to explain how you should approach the problems, and what are the correct interpretations of the figures.

If you are getting 15's or lower on your PAT practice tests, you will have no choice but to pay for tutoring help since some schools have a PAT minimum score.

Thank you for your feedback. If I may ask, what city do you live in? I'd like to see if you can tutor me? Do you have any suggestions to make on how I can improve on the top/front/end section it is the most confusing for me. Also, for the appartures section, what method is better in your opinion, is it better to first take time to look at the obejects from sides to determine what it may look like from each view, OR to take each answer choice and test out the object from all sides and see if it would fit through the answer choice. I hope you understand what I mean, I've tried both and both take me quite a long time to do. OR is there another method??? I did take a PAT course from at the local dental school in my city, that was taught by this architect/engineer guy which was the most complete waste of time and money. He never taught us anything but sit there and talk about his himself, himself, and himself on his life and accomplishments.
I'm really stuck, so do you think any mechanical engineer at any school would just be good???

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
