Responding to program emails?

So a program emailed me today saying they will enjoyed meeting me and will rank me highly and i have a excellent chance of matching with them.

Are we supposed to respond to these emails? If so, What if they aren't my top choice, or lets say a program i didn't like emails me, what do I say in the email? Or is it better to not respond if the program isn't going to be top 3 or something?

I'm not going to be replying to any emails. I don't see why you should, especially if you already sent them a thank you email after the interview.

Same here, I'm not replying to these. Mostly because I couldn't think of anything worthwhile to say. Already thanked them, already told my #1 they're #1. I appreciate the notes but don't read much into it and figure just as they don't influence my ranking of a program, my notes will have the same lack of effect.

I think it's professional courtesy to respond.

Just keep it brief, a nice thank you, nothing more needed.

Mine came in in response to thank you notes, so I thought it best to exit the infinite courtesy loop at that time.
