step 2ck results coming out wednesday!

I've been waiting since 'mid-August'... can't wait!

anyone else anxiously waiting??

from NBME website:

"The target date for reporting Step 2 CK scores for most examinees testing from mid-August through late September will be Wednesday, October 8, 2008."

I am TA'ing this month, and I have already warned the first years that I may be extra smiley (hopefully!) or bummed on Wednesday. I keep negotiating with myself what I am going to feel about certain numbers, not sure if that is healthy or not!

If you log into the NBME site and go to your "Check exam status" page and see the "print permit" option next to your step two CK your results probably will not be there this week.

If, however, your "print permit" option magically disappeared sometime last Saturday, you can almost be certain that you will get your results at the stroke of midnight Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

(This trick worked 100% for everyone I know for step 1 and 2CK (tests run through prometric) so far... DOES NOT work for CS... please let me know if it doesn't work for you!)

i shoot for super low scores so i won't feel disappointed.

So this Wed, can we see our actual score on the nbme website??
I'm not at my mailing address so waiting for scores in the mail would be brutal.

Thanks leaft! "Print Permit" is not there. We shall see. I will let you know.

I tried the oasis trick, i clicked onto the print permit button, a new window opened sayin this registration id has expired or u may have sat for the exam, does that mean i should b expectin my result this wednesday too?

The change to the test delivery software will be accounted for in scoring the examination results, so that scores will be comparable to those of exams using the older software. Because of this change, as well as routine modifications to the test item pool, it will be necessary to delay the reporting of scores for some examinees. The normal turnaround time for reporting scores to Step 2 CK examinees is 3 to 4 weeks. The target date for reporting Step 2 CK scores for most examinees testing from mid-August through late September will be Wednesday, October 8, 2008.

Does the first line frighten anybody else?

I just got an email saying my scores will be available tomorrow, starting around midnight tonight. I'm not sure I passed, I didn't do well on Step 1, and this felt worse. Please pray for at least a pass... Ohmygoodness, I'm so nervous 🙁

I got the email too. Not bad- I only took step 2 a week and a half ago, I thought it was going to take up to six wks 😱

I took mine August 21st, so I cannot imagine that my score will not come out tonight. BUT, I didn't get the e-mail to which you are all referring. I am a little bit nervous. I need to do better than I did on Step I...😱

if i knew I could take CK in september, and get the score back at the same time, I would've pushed my test back instead of taking it mid august.

damn! I could've used an extra 2 weeks.

I took my test on the 20th of August and also did not receive the email posted above. Sorry...stupid question. I'm on the west coast so if the results are sent to our emails midnight EST, I should get it by 9 PM PST right? Or does everyone receive it midnight? Thanks guys!

I am guessing that midnight EST means that you won't be staying up quite as late as me tonight on the east coast... I was thinking earlier tonight how that might be easier for the west coasters.

Not only were the results on time, but they were all that I was hoping and dreaming of! YES!

took mine aug 21 and no email and no score so far.

let me get this right....u go to OASIS and then click "Score Report Information" on the left column. is that right???

I took mine Aug 19th....no score and no email.....I went thru ECFMG....do ppl who go thru ECFMG get the same email???

I dont think so. I took mine on Sept 11, haven't received any email. Oasis says "last updated Oct 6!".

But for Step 1, I think the email came around 12 noon the next day. So I'm guessing our results will probably be available tomorrow afternoon.

I am confused...everyone keeps talking about Oasis, which I've never used. So the scores don't show up on the NBME website? I just want to make sure I am not missing them.

Bitchin'.

1) Stroll over to the laptop at 11:58 pm, log on.
2) Slow computer likely enjoying the massive ballbreak it's putting on a brotha.
3) Log in finally - pdf loads slowly, allowing my HR to elevate to low 200s. Didn't break a sweat, but felt a lil' funny in the tummy.
4) 238/99 on the screen, so of course I recheck the name on the score report. Looks like my name. Easy math says that's a 22 point jump from the first Step. Nice.
5) 38 minutes minutes gone by til now, and you'd best believe every program on my ERAS list has gotten an email to "note my most recent application update".
6) Holla at my mofos on SDN. Church.
