I would not starting using the resume service from get go. Since most services are not familiar with pharmacy industry and would not know how to emphasis the key points to get noticed.
My recommendation:
ASHP has a CV and resume book, take a look at that.
Follow suit to come up with basic structure.
Brainstorm anything you did, then group them.
Focus on your accomplishment like meeting sale goal, safety, DUR, counseling
Use online writing service to correct grammar and spelling.
LinkedIn with other colleagues in desired setting and review their resumes to borrow ideas.
Exegetes but never lie.
Eight years in retail is amazing, don't sell yourself short.
I personally know someone who worked at K-mark, then hospital outpatient setting. Got lay offed. Could not find job for 6 months then landed in GPO as consultant.
My last hospital hired a manager from retail as operations supervisor.
You just need to put together a very strong resume, good attitude and patience.
