Retail intern/student pay?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I make more than $17 as a tech currently in AZ. I start P1 in August at Midwestern CPG. I think I'll stay on with my current employer as apparently interns aren't all that well paid like they used to be!

Nope. I work for WM in CA. then again CA has a much higher living expense.

Can you tell me how much Wal-mart pays? I am also in CA.

Ha! I make a piddly $8/hour working for Kroger in Louisville, KY.
That's the P1 intern rate.
It goes up a dollar each year.

I think I'm going to look for something else though.
I think other local places pay better than Kroger.

I work for Kroger in Georgia and they pay nothing compared to the other pharmacies. Upper mangement is a waste of space and all our pharmacists and techincians talk about is how worthless they are behind their back. They do pay for my tuition, but I'm not at pharmacy school yet and when I do I plan on leaving and working for another pharmacy.

I am trying to get a tech job at a hospital but if that does not pan out I will be applying to Kmart and Albertsons, wish we had a Target or Haggens. If I did tech at Kmart or Albertsons I would probably do intern work there after my first year. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about either company? Pay, working environment, management's attitude toward school schedule?

FYI - my brother-in-law said Fred Meyer has the best intern pay aside from Providence hospitals. He work at Freddie's throughout his time at OSU, and is now a staff pharmacist there.

Hmmm, well Fred Meyer is 3 blocks from my apt., I will have to go talk to a pharmacist there.

Hmm.. I was making $17-20 and more an hour in a restaurant.. thats in cash.. plus free food.. no commute..

I make around 14/hr at restaurant, free food also but even if a tech job pays a little less, the experience is what I am looking for with a little money to help pay for the day to day things.

anyone know around the Boston area? retail, hospital... anything
