Much needed advice.

I've noticed that my CHEM and OCHEM practice test scores have not been increasing. I feel like I may have to retake the courses at a city college to reteach myself the basics. I took CHEM and OCHEM back in 2003/2004 and got by in those classes.

Do you recommend that I buy myself some cliff notes and work with old text books or go back and retake CHEM and OCHEM????.....Also if I receive A's in retaking those courses....won't it help my science GPA???

THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. GOD BLESS!

Here's my experience so far. I took general chemistry as a freshman and honestly didn't understand it that well when I was going through it, but was able to understand it well enough to score high on exams. That was four years ago.

I started "studying" for the DAT back in June, and started with general chemistry because it was my worst subject. I slacked a lot in June and really only got serious mid July, but now I feel like general chemistry is probably going to be highest score. What I did was simply went through Kaplan and if I had any question about the concept went to my general chemistry textbook. Your textbook should be your best friend. Trust them over wikipedia or any other online source. Whenever you have a question go to your textbook first, then search online.

I would try this fist before committing to two full courses on general chemistry and organic chemistry. Good luck with everything!
