I was shocked to find out that the retake classes won't do any good for Pharmacy schools becuase Pharm CAS will count both grades and just average it out.

My question is that if I got a D on one of my non-science class, there is no point of retaking the class??

Instead, it will be better to just take the other easy class to bring up the GPA ?

Please correct me if I'm thinking wrong..

The admin in my school said even if I retake the class, the D will still show on my transcripts. (although GPA will be counted only for new grade.)

This means that Pharmacy school will still see my D even after I retake the class and the Pharm CAS will still use my D for caculating my GPA...

I don't see the point of retake instead of taking other pre-pharm class to improve my GPA.

Please let me know what you guys are thinking?
