take it at a local 4 -year college. its fine, i have taken a few summer classes ( pre-reqs). dont take it at a CC.

Biochem is gonna be hard no matter where you take it, so i would recommend taking it in the summer at your 4-year school, and just make sure you build a close relatonship with the professor throughout the semester so they can help you through it and you can know what to expect. Good luck

Thanks for the feedback! its just that he said if i take it at another 4 yr college it might be a bad thing cause it'll probably show that i was avoiding taking it at my own college. But i'll take the risk since I need to get a decent grade.

If asked during an interview just explain that is was cheaper or closer to home to take it at the other 4-year over the summer.

I agree with coolrunner. Take it at your university, try your best, and maintain a close relationship with your professor. I took biochemistry about 2 years ago at my university and got tutored by a student who took the class a few years before. Also, if you can, try and find some students who already took the class and get their tests if possible. It will give you an idea of what kind of questions the professor will ask. I am currently taking O chem 2 and have all the professors quizzes and exams from a few years prior and I glance over those. He even uses some of the same questions.

Take it at a university over a CC. You run into the problem of some schools not accepting CC credits, and it would really stink to have to take it again at a Uni anyway, so just take it at a different university.
