I'm a little conflicted with this decision. I took the DAT in June and the next opportunity that I have to retake is in late September. Should I retake the exam in the fall or should I wait until I graduate in spring? Granted, this fall I'll be taking P.Chem, Adv Orgo, Adv Nutrition, and Ceramics (easy).

I was in a similar dilemma as you last summer. I ended up studying all summer for the exam but when school started back up again in August, I didn't touch the DAT for a solid month so ended up pushing it back again. I decided to wait another year to strengthen my application and I just recently took it again.

If you can, my advice would be to take it over Christmas break or wait until next summer. Up to you.

Good luck.

Do you want to apply this cycle? If you have a strong GPA, study and take it again in September. If you need to work on your GPA, then postpone it and apply next year.
