I want to retake a few classes i took a few years ago (some pre-req's and some not), but should I focus on the newer classes that i need to get my degree first and THEN retaking the older ones? or is smarter to just retake them now before i have bachelors degree...i dont want it to look bad that I'm gettin my degree in 5 or more years rather than 4

Ok, any classes you take before you get your degree is factored into your undergrad gpa. Any classes AFTER your degree is considered a post bacc. Does your college allow for grade replacement? If that is the case it might be better to take before than after just for ease on the eyes of the transcript. Or if you wanted to do a post-bacc after and retake all the prereqs to show you can do well in the sciences that might work as well.

I would consult your pre-med advisor to see what they suggest or maybe someone else has some more constructive feedback.

The amount of time it takes to get your degree doesn't matter.

I don't know if financial aid is a factor for you, but after you officially have a BA, you can't get the aid you got as an undergrad. You might want to retake first so you have a firm foundation for the newer classes, as well.
