Since we've already established that you guys here know more than my premed advisor...

question: I did really poorly in a stats for health sciences class (long story, separate issue), and next quarter the school is offering a general stats class. Can I take that instead? I know that my college won't give me units or credit for it, but will AMCAS care?
In general, my school's policy states that it won't give me units or credit for various reasons when you retake a class...does this effect whether or not AMCAS sees those grades at all?
And really stupid question, but I was just wondering, the 3rd part of math for us is probability, so would i even need to report the stats class at all? (I'm not sure how the AMCAS application works).

Thanks!

If it is on your transcript, AMCAS will list the class and the grade and include it in the calculation for your application GPA, regardless of what your school does. You need to find out if it will be listed on your transcript as it will be important for it to be there for redemption purposes (and I find it hard to believe it would not be). If it won't be, then take it at another institution as send a separate transcript.

You are required to report all post-high school classwork.

okay so i can probably take this other stats class...?
should i not take it if it's easier because it might look bad? I mean with the other stats class I can get an A for sure...

If you take a 100 level course instead of a 300 level course, they'd notice. If It's a 260 instead of a 210, I doubt they'd distinguish between them.
