Hi there, I took the DAT on October 2015 and planning to apply to dental school this upcoming cycle. My GPA back in undergrad wasn't very stellar and I am currently in the UCSF dental post-bac. My grades right now in the program is very good and I'm probably going to end up with a 4.0 for the first semester at the UC berkeley extension. Here are my stats:

UG GPA - 2.8
DAT:
AA - 21
BIO - 21
Gen Chem - 22
OChem - 23
RC - 19 🙁
QR - 18 🙁
TS - 22
PAT - 19 🙁

Provided that I continue to do well in the post-bac program, maintaining 3.5 GPA and above. Should I consider retaking the DAT? I'm mostly scared for the RC, QR and was hoping for a 20+ on the PAT but was shy 1 point.

Also, I have talked to the associate dean and other adcoms at UCSF and they told me my DAT is competitive for most dental schools across the country and that I should not retake it. UCSF post-bac students are guaranteed an interview if they complete the program with a 3.5 gpa or above. My hope is that I get into a California dental school but I am open to going out of state as well and plan to apply broadly this upcoming cycle. I'm posting on here for more advice.

Thanks!
