Quick question, I am working on my pre-reqs and i am working to get my GPA up to at least a 3.5. Im currently at a 3.21 and a computer class that I got a 2.5 in my freshman year is being offered online. Is it worth retaking if my GPA goes up to a 3.25?

Thank You!

No. Get A's in science added and retake this class later if your GPA isn't high enough.

+1. I'd really focus your time on science first.

When you say computer class, do you mean an engineering design class?

Be reminded that engineering classes ARE included in the sGPA, so if this is the case, then absolutely do it.

There is a difference between computer science, and engineering, so be clear with the designation!

ADCOMs look at the grades you get in classes they feel are relevant. If retaking this engineering class causes OP to get a B+ instead of an A in a pre-med class, it won't be worth it.

Yes, but they haven't made any indication of course load ect, so that's a bit premature haha.

Thank You for your response. I think ill hold off taking it, I'm registered for chem 2 and bio 2 along with 2 business classes next semester. This semester I only took chem 1 and as of right now i'm on the border of a 3.5/4.0

Are you suggesting they lighten their load in order to accommodate the retake? Most undergrads takes pretty full loads when still completing prereqs.

If it's between a lighter load and getting bad grades, the lighter load is certainly better.
