I am currently taking organic one for the second time. Right now I have a high C, low B, but I still have two tests left and they are the hardest of the course (I've been told). The first time I took it I really wasn't ready and ended up dropping before the second test, so I got a W. I'm worried that I might have to take it AGAIN if my test scores don't get me a passing/decent grade.

Has anyone heard of someone taking a class multiple times and still being accepted? (Btw, I'm a sophomore with a 3.3 gpa, extensive healthcare and non-healthcare volunteer work, decent amount of shadowing, and some research). All off my other classes are going well now and I got a 3.8 last semester, so I hope this one class won't hurt me that much. Thanks for your help!

I did it with physics II. Got an A the last time, nobody asked me about it out of 4 interviews. Starting school in the fall....

I got a C in Bio and retook it and got an A. But I got a C in physical chemistry and I didn't retake it so I'm worried about that too. Hopefully they don't ask about it during the interviews.

Agree with the poster above. Work your ass off, get the B and then forget about it.

So I know this is an old post but I have sort of an update/question. I ended up getting a C+ in the class (class average was around a D+/C-). I'm currently trying to decide if this will be OK since I already have the W on my transcript from last semester. My gpa is a 3.25 and I only have 2 C's after 2 years in college (C+ in bio 1 and orgo 1). Should I be concerned about these two grades or should I just brush them off and try and raise my GPA next year? Thanks guys!

As far as your transcript, I don't really think it will be a problem. However,
Orgo II is going to be pretty tough without a very solid background in Orgo I.
