hey so im retaking microbiology because the first time I got a D in it. Im afraid im only going to be raising it to a C this semester. My work schedule has been draining me and I even requested time off to study but im scared i cant raise it up to a B. Il need to ace the rest of the exams to get even a B-. How bad does a C look as a retaken prerequisite?
Thanks

Well you probably already know the answer to the question you are asking - the better your repeated grade is, the better off you are. A jump from a D to a C/C+ is not ideal, however, your fate as a pre-pharmacy is student is not solely determined by this single course. If you have done well if your other prerequisites, I am sure the admissions committee will be willing to overlook your microbiology grade. How does your cGPA/sGPA look? Extracurriculars? Healthcare experience? Interview is a huge part of the decision too! Just be sure to explain this grade in your application, and if the rest of your application is good, you will be fine.

Do schools accept D's for prereqs? I'm only asking because most of the prereqs for schools I looked at required a C or higher.

Don't worry.. As long as the rest of your app is good then I wouldn't worry. I retook a prereq multiple times and only ended up with a C+. Good luck. There's more things in life than worrying about a C.

I can't think of a single school that accepts D's.
