Hi, I am a pre-med student at a California State University. At the beginning of my college career I had some problems and I’ve received many C’s in my classes and my GPA is really low. However, I still want to go into medical school.

I know I can get good grades if I try harder from now on. Now that I am at the end of my sophomore year I am planning on retaking all my classes that I’ve received poor grades so I can increase my GPA.

I know medical school look at the transcript but is it anyway possible for me to get into a medical school if I increase my gpa by retaking about 8 to 10 classes? How about Caribbean medical schools? If you just count the grade as admission factor what are my chances of getting into a Caribbean medical school with records of bad grades in the transcripts but good GPA overall? Please advise me I am in really confused situation right about my future. Thanks.
