So, I have the opportunity to retake 2 classes before I apply. I know I need to retake 2nd sem. Gen Chem. My question is I have the toption of only taking the class, and not the lab. How does that work when you originally took it with a lab?

Thanks!

Is there a seperate credit for the lab... or is it all in with the lecture course. Ex. Chem 4 credits (including lect and Lab).

If so you will most likely have 4 credits retake (even though you are not retaking Lab component).

If you are retaking it at the same school or with the same professor, they should still have your record. Tell them you are retaking. If you successfully passed the lab the first time then they will waive the lab requirements. You will get a grade as if you retook both the lab and lecture, that is if your school gives only one grade for both. If not then it is just a standard repeat, simple.

So, I took the class in undergrad, and it included both the lecture and the lab for 5 credits. The retake is later, and another university, and is only 3 credits without the lab, 4 credits with the lab. What do you think? I work full time, and I really need this mostly to help with the MCAT. I'm so far out of the game, I don't feel confident about my own personal review in this particular subject. THanks.
